Compassionate care that helps women and adolescents move forward.

Skin Care Outreach provides access to compassionate medical care for women and adolescents with visible scars, markings, and tattoos that may affect safety, employment, self-esteem, or community reengagement.

Through trusted Community Partner referrals, we help patients receive care with dignity, compassion, and hope.

MISSION

Skin Care Outreach provides compassionate medical aesthetic care for
underserved women and adolescents with facial scarring, visible markings, or trauma-related skin concerns.

Through trusted community referrals, we help patients access care that supports dignity, self-esteem, and reengagement in daily life.

VISION

We envision a community where visible scars, markings, and tattoos do not limit a person’s safety, employment, self-esteem, or ability to move forward.

Skin Care Outreach helps referred women and adolescents access compassionate medical aesthetic care, including tattoo removal for visible markings connected to trafficking, coercion, violence, or other difficult life experiences.

Safe Haven Clinics

Everyone deserves the opportunity to move forward.

Safe Haven Clinics provide compassionate medical aesthetic care for women and adolescent girls referred through trusted Community Partners.

Whether removing a tattoo that creates barriers to employment, treating scars related to trauma or violence, or helping restore confidence after illness or injury, every patient is cared for with dignity, compassion, and medical expertise.

Held regularly at RSMD Medical Aesthetics, Safe Haven Clinics create a dedicated pathway to care for patients who may otherwise have nowhere to turn.

Training the Next Generation of Physicians

Skin Care Outreach partners with the Morehouse School of Medicine Dominican Hospital Family Medicine Residency to bring community service and physician education together.

During Safe Haven Clinics, residents work alongside Dr. Rebecca Small in a supervised clinical setting, helping provide care while gaining firsthand experience in compassionate, trauma-informed medical aesthetics.

This partnership expands access to care today while helping shape physicians who will carry this patient-centered approach throughout their careers.

How Care Begins

Skin Care Outreach accepts patients through approved Community Partners. This referral-based model helps protect patient privacy, identify appropriate needs, and connect patients with care in a supportive clinical setting.

  1. A Community Partner submits a referral.

  2. Skin Care Outreach reviews the patient’s needs.

  3. Eligible patients are scheduled for care.

  4. Treatment is provided with dignity, safety, and medical oversight.
